“Alive Structures and Newtown Creek Alliance are hosting an informative panel discussion about green roofs and giving a sunset tour of the Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop meadows on a Broadway Stages building.

Industry experts and City Council members who helped sponsor the Climate Mobilization Act, will lead an in-depth conversation about the myriad benefits of green roofs, their economic value and funding options.

Green roofs cool down cities, cut energy costs, reduce storm-water runoff, clean water, clean air pollution, absorb carbon emissions, promote biodiversity, repopulate pollinator species, and make our city more livable for all.

Ask your burning questions, network with leaders in the community and real estate industry and leave with more knowledge of how the green roof mandate will significantly impact the environment, increase the bottom line, and reshape the nature and the future of NYC.”
